Join the Team
Volunteering at The Base means joining our staff team as a hands-on, valued member. You will work alongside our paid staff, taking an active role in the day-to-day running of the centre and helping to create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who comes through our doors.
Your Role
What you will be doing
Work alongside staff to plan and deliver activity sessions
Support community trips and outings as part of the team
Build genuine, one-to-one relationships with the people we support
Bring your own skills or hobbies to enrich our programme
Help with gardening, outdoor projects, and centre upkeep
Take an active role at social events and celebrations

A few things to know
All volunteer staff members must be aged 18 or over and will need to complete an enhanced DBS check before starting. We provide a full induction, ongoing support, and regular check-ins so you always feel confident and comfortable in your role.
