Supported Living

Enabling people to live independently and safely in their own homes.

About the Service

What is Supported Living?

Supported Living is a service that enables adults with learning disabilities to live in their own homes whilst receiving the right level of support to do so safely and happily. The service is designed to be flexible adjusting to the needs and goals of each individual.

At Highfield Services, our Supported Living provision is based across several properties in Great Harwood and Rishton. Each person we support has their own tenancy agreement, meaning they have real security and genuine control over where they live.

How we support people

Our experienced support workers provide assistance with a wide range of daily living skills, tailored to each person's individual support plan:

Personal care and hygiene

Cooking and meal planning

Managing finances and budgeting

Healthcare and medication

Social activities and community access

Education and employment

Keeping in touch with family and friends

Developing independence skills

Person-centred planning

Every person we support has an individual support plan developed with them, their family, and any relevant professionals. This plan identifies their goals, preferences, and how they want to be supported and it's reviewed regularly to make sure it stays relevant and up to date.

We work closely with local authorities, NHS teams, and other agencies to provide a joined-up approach to care and support.
